On August 30, 2025, the Kiwanis Club of Centennial Hills participated in a meaningful service project at Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary, bringing together volunteers dedicated to making a difference. Key Club members from Arbor View High School and Shadow Ridge High School joined forces to improve and beautify the sanctuary grounds. They were supported by members of the Kiwanis Club of North Las Vegas and additional Key Club members from across the Las Vegas Valley. Through teamwork and community spirit, these volunteers contributed to preserving a vital local resource while strengthening bonds between Kiwanis clubs and the schools. The Kiwanis Club of Centennial Hills held its August general meeting with a strong focus on youth leadership and community impact.  Guest speaker Justin Minton from Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada emphasized the importance of early financial education, and pointed out that a half-credit course in economics and financial literacy is now required to graduate high school in the state of Nevada.  He shared how Junior Achievement’s programs are equipping young people with the tools they need to make informed economic decisions, develop entrepreneurial skills, and grow into confident leaders.

The Kiwanis Club of Centennial Hills continues to bring together local leaders and community advocates to support initiatives that make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families throughout Southern Nevada.  Won’t you join us?! Find more event photos on our Media Gallery page!

The Kiwanis Club of Centennial Hills is proud to sponsor the Key Clubs at Shadow Ridge High School and Arbor View High School!  Both Clubs held their first meetings of the new school year in August – the turnout was impressive and the energy is through the roof! Student leaders and Club members are already hard at work planning volunteer projects that will make a difference in the community, and launching fundraising efforts to fuel their activities.  We can’t wait to see all they accomplish!
