Scholarship Application Instructions

The Kiwanis Club of Centennial Hills Scholarship Program celebrates and supports graduating high school seniors at Arbor View High School and Shadow Ridge High School who maintain high academic achievement, display outstanding leadership skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to the community by participating in a variety of impactful service projects.

Applicants must meet all of the following qualifications to apply:

  • Must be a currently-enrolled senior at Arbor View High School or Shadow Ridge High School.
  • Must be a Key Club member in good standing with annual membership dues paid in full.
  • Must be prepared to accept and utilize the scholarship during the upcoming Fall 2026 semester.

The timeline for the 2025-26 scholarship cycle is:

  • Application submission deadline is 11:59 PM PST on March 15, 2026; no exceptions.
  • Scholarship Committee decisions will be made by April 1, 2026.
  • Notifications will be made in writing to award recipients and non-recipients.
  • Award Ceremony date and location is to be determined.

More important information about the 2025-26 scholarship cycle:

  • Two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships are available for Arbor View High School Key Club seniors.
  • Two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships are available for Shadow Ridge High School Key Club seniors.
  • Scholarships may be used at a four-year college, community college, or trade school.
  • Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient’s institute of higher education.
  • Proof of enrollment is required for disbursement.
  • No limitations are placed on applicants regarding additional scholarships from other sources.

No application will be considered that does not include all required responses and supplementary materials. Only complete applications submitted on or before March 15, 2026 will be eligible for review by the Scholarship Committee.

An application is considered complete if it includes, without exception:

  • Scholarship Application – The on-line Scholarship Application must be fully completed; no blanks.
  • Essay Questions – All answers to essay questions shall be 200 to 400 words in length; no exceptions.
  • Transcript(s) – Upload copy(ies) of unofficial transcript(s) showing grades for the entirety of high school enrollment (all high schools attended). Please redact any reference(s) to an applicant’s social security number (including “last four digits”) before uploading transcripts.
  • Resume – Include work experience and volunteer experience.
  • Letter of Reference 1 – Letter of reference from a high school teacher, counselor, or administrator addressing the applicant’s interpersonal skills, initiative, motivation, problem-solving abilities, and potential for success.
  • Letter of Reference 2 – A second letter of reference from a high school teacher, counselor, or administrator, or from another individual who personally knows the applicant (e.g., a coach, mentor, or employer) who is not a relative of the applicant.
